Old Croton Aqueduct Trail Walk

The Old Croton Aqueduct Trail is a historic greenway that spans over 26 miles across Westchester County, NY and is considered one of the most important pieces of infrastructure in NYC history.

I’ve been lucky to call the OCA “my backyard” since 2006!

Join me as we trace the aqueduct's path that supplied water to New York City until 1955. We'll begin at Metro North's Greystone Station in Yonkers, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the New Jersey Palisades. Then, we'll take a slow walk to Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. This scenic trail winds along the Hudson River and passes through lush woodlands and backyards, revealing architectural treasures and the rich history of the state park. 🌳🏡

Highlights Include: Hudson River Views, Untermyer Ruin Garden & Vista, Rowley Brook, Quarry Park and Railroad Trail, The Cropsey Homestead, Cooke Family Gravesite and some good ol’ fashioned forest bathing.

Ideal For: Locals, visitors seeking a quick getaway from NYC, photographers, hikers, nature lovers, small group explorers, and solo travelers. 🌆📸🌿👣
