What drove you to work or create this company/organization? What's your story?
MeetTrip began when the founder, Ralph Guyot-Jeannin, traveled from his home country of France to Italy, and wound up having terrible experiences because he didn't hire certified tour guides. Not only was the information lackluster and uninteresting; he ended up completely lost in a foreign city because the unprofessional "guide" couldn't do his job! This experience made Ralph realize the importance of proper training, certification, and recognition of a professional tour guide, so that tourists and travelers can feel comfortable, safe, and happy with the quality of services they receive.

Has your company or organization or any members of the organization received any awards (recently or in the past)? If so, what was the award for, who awarded it, and when did you receive the award?
Prix Georges Toromanof - award from the French Association of Seniors in Tourism (AFST in French) - awarded for most promising and client-focused tourism service, in December 2015.

What is the most gratifying part of your work? 


My job is to reach out to guides in the United States and the United Kingdom, introducing them to the platform and helping them with profile development. I enjoy speaking with guides and hearing about their experiences, thoughts, and opinions on both our site and guiding in general; I've met so many people from all over the world who have done some wonderful tours!
