====================================
How long have you been a tour guide?
I have had my tour guide license since 1996 and have been actively conducting walking tours since then.
What types of tours do you offer?
I do neighborhood walking tours and am a docent at Grand Central Terminal. I give my tours through organizations such as New York Adventure Club and Municipal Art Society.
Do you offer Niche Tours?
My signature tours are neighborhood walks in Queens. My tours focus on Queens' rich history, and the story of neighborhood development and immigration. My Flushing tour traces the roots of the neighborhood from the Flushing Remonstrance in 1657 to the Golden Mall Food Court and gives people a glimpse of working class New York life.
What time of year would you consider your busy season?
Spring, Summer.
Have you or your company been featured in print, broadcast or online media?
I was written up in DNA Info for my Jane's Walk in 2014.

What drove you to become a tour guide?
As a native New Yorker, I have lived and studied the layers of history that make the city so rich and dynamic. I have a great love for Queens and want to let people know how wonderful it is.
What is the most gratifying part of your work?
When people remark on how much they have learned on my tour, which enhances their understanding of the City and broadens their perspective.
How long have you been a member of GANYC?
Four years.
How has GANYC helped you and your business?
Being a GANYC member has given me confidence in my ability as a guide. I've also learned much through FAM tours and have taken advantage of educational programming offered by GANYC.
What's your advice or Tour Guide tip you love to share to people visiting New York?
Don't be afraid to do something out of the box - find a knowledgeable guide who will cater to your interests.
